Needless to say since finding this out, I’ve been scrimping and saving to go on a yarn buying spree. Up to now, I’ve been project focused (you know – boringly only having the yarn I need - which sadly has been drab winter colors like navy, brown, grey and white) and I’ve politely skipped over the bright cheerful colors that I’ve really wanted to buy. But no longer! As you can see, I’m not short of cheerful colors now! This seriously makes my heart sing.
Another happy find – I’ve had a love hate relationship with my aluminum hooks since I started crocheting last summer. They dig into the palm of my hand with their pointy ends (seriously – why are they pointy?!) and they feel at least an inch too short.
I found a rosewood crochet hook – even though I died a little when I saw the price ($20.00 for the one hook).
Turns out, it’s really comfortable to hold – doesn’t dig in at all and it’s easy to crochet for hours… and hours and hours. So maybe it’s not the worst thing to spend a bit of money on.
